Snow removal

Plowing that clears the drive without tearing up what's under it — gravel included. Milford and Southeast Michigan.

Sound like your property?
  • "I can't get out of the drive after a storm."
  • "The last plow guy tore up my gravel and my lawn."
  • "The drive is too long to do by hand."
  • "I need it cleared before I leave for work, not after."
What D1 does

Snow removal, in plain terms.

Snow work is the same job as the rest of what we do — moving material off a surface without wrecking the surface. We already know your driveway, because in a lot of cases we built it.

  • Residential driveway plowing

Cleared and stacked where the snow won't block sightlines or the next storm's room.

  • Gravel drive plowing

Plowed with shoes set so the blade rides above the stone instead of peeling it into the yard.

  • Long & rural drives

The drives that take a truck and a real blade, not a garden tractor.

  • Storm cleanup & widening

Pushing back banks after a run of storms so the drive doesn't narrow all winter.

  • Salting & de-icing

For drives and walks that need to be safe, not just clear.

  • Sidewalks & walkways

Shoveled or blown out on the same visit as the drive.

  • Commercial lots & seasonal contracts

Per-push or seasonal. Seasonal spots are limited — locked in before the first storm.

Built for Michigan ground

A plow can cost you a driveway.

Gravel drives get ruined every winter by blades set flat on the stone — the drive ends up in the lawn, and in April someone pays to put it back. Shoes on the blade and a driver who knows where the edge is will save the surface. Drives get staked before the first snow so the edges are still findable in February.

Questions about snow removal
Do you plow gravel driveways?

Yes, and we set the blade up for it. If we built the drive, we already know where the edges are.

When do you come out?

Route order depends on the storm. We'll tell you honestly where you sit on the route before you sign up — not after.

Per-push or seasonal?

Both, depending on the property. We'll lay out the numbers side by side at the estimate.
