Land & brush clearing
Sound like your property?
  • "The back acre is a wall of brush."
  • "I can't run a fence line through this."
  • "We're building a barn and the site is overgrown."
  • "I bought the lot and can't see the property line."
What D1 does

Land clearing, in plain terms.

Clearing is the first job on most rural properties: get the brush and small growth out, pull what needs pulling, and leave ground you can grade, fence, or build on.

  • Brush & overgrowth removal

Buckthorn, autumn olive, scrub, and small trees taken out at the root where possible.

  • Fence-line & property-line clearing

A clean corridor so posts go in straight and the line is where the survey says.

  • Building-site clearing

Clear the footprint plus working room for the pad and the trades that follow.

  • Debris handling

Piled and burned where permitted, chipped, or hauled — we tell you which at the estimate.

  • Follow-on grading

Once it's cleared, we can grade it. One crew, one schedule.

How a land clearing job runs
  1. Free on-site estimate

We walk the property with you, explain the options, and give you a written number.

  2. Planned & scheduled

You get a start date. If weather or ground conditions move it, you hear from us first.

  3. Build

The crew shows up when we said. Work happens the way it was scoped.

  4. Walk-through & cleanup

We walk it with you, fix anything that isn't right, and leave the site clean.

Built for Michigan ground

Clear it when the ground can take it.

Wet spring ground rutting under equipment is how a clearing job turns into a grading job. We'll tell you if the site needs a few dry days first — and in most of Oakland and Livingston County it does.

Questions about land clearing
Do you remove stumps?

Small stumps come out with the clearing. Large stumps are quoted separately depending on size and count.

What happens to the debris?

Depends on the property and local rules: pile-and-burn where allowed, chip, or haul. We'll say which at the estimate and price it in.

Do I need a permit?

Usually not for brush clearing on your own land, but wetlands and some townships have rules. We'll flag it if your property looks like it might.
